Suspect appears before District ‘A’ Criminal Court in connection with the killing of David Leacock

The Barbados Police Service has arrested and formally charged a 30-year-old man in connection with the November 11, 2025, murder of David Leacock.
Authorities identified the accused as Xzavier Malik Clarke, 30, of Marl Hole Road, Halls Road, St. Michael. Police confirmed that Clarke was charged following investigations into the fatal incident, which occurred late last year.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Clarke was escorted to the District ‘A’ Criminal Court, where he was scheduled to make an appearance in relation to the matter. Law enforcement officials accompanied the accused as part of routine court procedures.
Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding the killing or the evidence involved. The investigation remains ongoing, and the case is expected to proceed through the judicial process.
Authorities emphasized that all individuals charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
