Popular dancehall entertainer Chronic Law has been taken into custody by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), according to information listed on the agency’s official website.

The artist, whose legal name is Ackeme Campbell, was detained on Monday. Jamaican newspaper The Gleaner reported that it was informed of the detention but noted that U.S. authorities have not disclosed further details.

ICE has not released information regarding the specific reason for the detention, the artist’s immigration status, or his current place of custody. At this time, no formal charges, court proceedings, or deportation actions have been publicly confirmed.
