Federal authorities have confirmed the arrests of former television journalist Don Lemon and independent journalist Georgia Fort following a protest that disrupted a church service in St. Paul, Minnesota.

According to official statements and corroborated media reporting, the incident occurred during a worship service earlier this month. Federal officials allege the protest interfered with religious activities, prompting a law enforcement response that led to the arrests.

Don Lemon was taken into custody in Los Angeles, while Georgia Fort was arrested at her home. Fort livestreamed portions of her arrest, drawing widespread attention on social media and raising public debate about press freedom, protest rights, and federal enforcement actions.

Legal representatives for both Lemon and Fort have stated that their clients were engaged in journalistic or protest-related activity and have suggested that constitutional protections, including the First Amendment, are central to their defense. As of publication, authorities have not publicly detailed whether formal charges or indictments have been filed.

Federal officials have referenced additional individuals in preliminary communications related to the same incident. However, at this time, only the arrests of Don Lemon and Georgia Fort have been independently confirmed. Haitian Prime News is reporting solely on verified information and will update this story as further details emerge.

The investigation remains ongoing.
