The U.S. Embassy in Morocco has announced the resumption of normal operations following the signing into law of H.R. 7148, the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026, which provides funding for the United States federal government.

The announcement was made through an official statement shared on social media, confirming that the enactment of the legislation restored the financial authority necessary for U.S. government agencies, including overseas diplomatic missions, to operate without interruption.

The funding bill was signed by Donald Trump, bringing an end to uncertainty surrounding federal appropriations that had affected government operations. Such funding lapses can impact embassy services abroad, including administrative functions, diplomatic engagement, and consular services.

While the embassy did not specify which services may have been affected during the funding gap, officials confirmed that operations have now fully returned to standard levels. U.S. citizens residing in Morocco, as well as individuals seeking visa or consular services, are advised to consult official embassy channels for the latest updates and appointment information.

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026 authorizes funding across federal departments and agencies, ensuring continuity of government operations both within the United States and at diplomatic posts worldwide.
